Worlddailynet Journalist: Palestinian people do not exist

Worlddailynet has a reputation to uphold, as America’s most openly anti-Palestinian website. This vile piece of twisted propaganda by a "journalist" shows an invocation of Orwell’s legacy of doublespeak to a whole new level of loathsomeness:

A provocative headline? It's more than that. It's the truth.

Truth does not change. Truth is truth. If something was true 50 years ago, 40 years ago, 30 years ago, it is still true today.

And the truth is that only 30 years ago, there was very little confusion on this issue of Palestine.

You might remember the late Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir making the bold political statement: "There is no such thing as a Palestinian people."

The statement has been a source of ridicule and derision by Arab propagandists ever since. They love to talk about Golda Meir's "racism." They love to suggest she was in historical denial. They love to say her statement is patently false – an intentional lie, a strategic deception.

What they don't like to talk about, however, are the very similar statements made by Yasser Arafat and his inner circle of political leadership years after Meir had told the truth – that there is no distinct Palestinian cultural or national identity.

Woman nearly dies in Montana Honour Attack:

How long will these honour attacks continue. Estimates range from 960,000 incidents of violence against a current or former spouse, boyfriend, or girlfriend per year to three million women who are physically abused by their husband or boyfriend per year.

Man Gets 6 Years for Shoving Mobile Phone Down Girlfriend's Throat

Marlon Brando Gill, 25, had faced a maximum sentence of seven years in prison after a jury convicted him last month of the second-degree assault for the December 2005 incident. His attorney has said he plans to appeal the conviction

Gill told jurors in both trials that the victim, Melinda Abell, intentionally put the phone in her own mouth after he asked her whom she had been calling.

Doctors said Abell nearly died from a blocked airway.

Barbaric “Death Sport” still popular in Texas:

How can people enjoy death for fun and sport what kind of barbaric society allows this to exist?

SPLENDORA, Texas — Authorities seized more than 150 hens and roosters and arrested 25 people for immigration violations during a raid on a suspected cockfighting operation northeast of Houston.

A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper was tipped to the cockfight Sunday night when he pulled over a suspected drunken driver who said he had just been at the event.

Authorities responding to the 10-acre property in Montgomery County found more than 100 parked cars and a crowd of people watching cockfights, said Deputy Don Smith, a livestock officer with the Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable's Office.

LBB Scalability Project

Due to a huge number of hits we at Ourstreets Towers have had to install a new Flux Capacitor on out Millenium Falcon database server. Almost all of our logging functions are now being handled by a gerbil running in a wheel, this eliminates several hundred thousand file accesses a day (big exaggeration) on the main web server (the one you’re looking at now), which should help quite a bit at peak traffic times.

Paul Bremer: No idea where money is

No surprises in this story, just further confirmation that the American state (the state they already have, that they’ve been building for 60 years) is a completely corrupt disaster: Audit: U.S. lost track of $9 billion in funds. (Hat tip: LBB readers.)

Audit: U.S. lost track of $9 billion in Iraq funds

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Nearly $9 billion of money spent on Iraqi reconstruction is unaccounted for because of inefficiencies and bad management, according to a watchdog report published Sunday.

An inspector general's report said the U.S.-led administration that ran Iraq until June 2004 is unable to account for the funds.

"Severe inefficiencies and poor management" by the Coalition Provisional Authority has left auditors with no guarantee the money was properly used," the report said.

George Bush, meanwhile, speaking to a group of Republicans in Iowa, wants even more money!

Washington - The White House is ready to ask Congress for more money for President Bush's plan - already hotly debated - to send 21,500 new combat troops into Iraq.

The move would pay for support personnel and otherwise update last month's request for the Iraq war. It is expected to draw criticism from Democrats who say the Pentagon underestimated the costs of Bush's plan for improving security in Baghdad and Anbar province.

The latest request could come today, modifying last month's $93.4 billion request for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan through Sept. 30.

LA kashrut Watch

Los Angeles is the scene of yet another intrusion of extremist kashrut law into US society, as a restaurant refuses to serve pork, shellfish and some other animals and fish and their byproducts. The restaurant is demands that American suppliers obey these laws! Its also closed on Sabbath and Jewish festivals no matter how hungey you are.

The other day, I got a call from someone who said that an employee at the Shilo steak house on Pico Boulevard, downtown refused to serve him a cheese burger!

He was mighty upset, arguing that the waiter had “no right to open a restaurant if he wasn’t prepared to serve what customers ordered”.

But he was a little vague on the details, so I decided to check it out myself. At the steak house on Pico Boulevard, a waiter wearing a Kippah, looked uncomfortable when I showed up at the restaurant asking for a pork chop with some black beluga caviar.

But then, this really isn’t about the pork.

The party of pandering to rich people

Unprecedented tax cuts have been offered to the mega rich during a time of war.

The wealthiest stratum of Americans - an estimated 200,000 people earning more than $1m a year - accounts for barely 1% of US taxpayers, according to figures from the internal revenue service.

However, poverty action groups say the freeze will take away $3bn from programs that directly benefit lower-income groups at a time of recession.

They singled out a $300m cut to a program to help poor families with heating fuel costs.

"At a time when some people badly could use help, Mr Bush's tax cut mostly will help those who need it least," a leader comment in the Washington Post said yesterday.

Though only 1% of the population these people enjoy massive tax cuts during a war and a massive deficit. A littleblueballs correspondent has said that this is of course nothing to do with party funding.
